We have already written how insane, devastating and uneconomical this speculative project by the Geogreen is. This shows how modest is the flow capacity of the Mello stream during the Summer months.
Throughout the six months of winter the river is completely dry.

In few days a file on Val di Mello will be opened in order to evaluate the envirorments impact in Lombardia region.
The office will have three months to report an evaluation on this issue. The technical, geological, environmental, economical and turistic aspects are important, but crucial at this point is also the political intentions. Will it possible to save the most important monumental valley of the Alpes from a miserable speculation ?

Dear friends, it seems really impossible but the ghost of the Val di Mello dried from every water source is dramatically back.
The “Tribunale Superiore delle Acque” has given permission to Geogreen S.p.A. to pursuit its project to collect water from ALL the Val di Mello torrents in order to be able to build 2 big Hydro Electric power plant.

In the reportage are also included interviews to people are described the protest marches and the movement that has raised against this aberrance against such a beautiful valley and the ecosystem that it hosts. The movie has been screened in the villages of the Val Masino before the installation of the hydro electric power plant in Valle di Sasso Bisolo – Pedrarossa.

La Direzione Generale Territorio e Urbanistica della Regione Lombardia ha dato parere favorevole alla costruzione di due centrali idroelettriche: nella straordinaria Foresta dei Bagni Masino e nei pressi della suggestiva piana ai piedi del ghiacciaio del Disgrazia.

Con un comunicato ufficiale del Pirellone, il Consiglio Ufficiale dei Lavori Pubblici presieduto da Carlo Lio ha dato parere negativo alla realizzazione della centrale idroelettrica (proposta da una grossa società) di captazione di tutte le acque della sponda meridionale della Val di Mello: in particolare dei torrenti Ferro, Qualido, Zocca, Torrone, Cameraccio.| Read more... |

L’aggressione all’ambiente della Val di Mello con l’ipotesi di captazione idroelettrica dei torrenti è, oltre che assolutamente inutile sul piano dell’apporto energetico al fabbisogno regionale, una assurdità paesaggistica ed ambientale.
